AWS Expert Melbourne

Looking for an AWS (Amazon Web Services) expert in Melbourne? I’ve been involved in some large / enterprise level AWS solutions including architecture and migrations (and all my small business clients are also on AWS).

I’ve been a part of projects such as Commonwealth Games 2018 and for the public transport system here in Melbourne – Metro.

Migrating over to AWS sooner rather than later is a great idea as it gives you full flexibility over your infrastructure, peace of mind with security, speed and scalability like no other.

Managed hosting services are actually not that good. I’ve recently come across a hacked Magento site that was being hosted on a well-known managed hosting service – through my investigation I believe the hack happened through the hosting company – as in the attack vector seemed to be taking advantage of some of the shared resources (perhaps their root account) on their infrastructure.

Definitely do move to AWS today to take full advantage of the security, redundancy and cost-savings that Amazon gives you. I am a certified AWS Solutions Architect – if you’re in Melbourne, happy to catch up for a coffee if you want to have a chat. If you’re interstate or overseas, still happy to schedule in a call at a suitable time. Get in touch!

Hey Francis. I was really curious to know your opinion about Managed Cloud Hosting companies (like Cloudways for instance). At Cloudways, they can deploy and manage your servers while you can concentrate on the business aspect of your website. Well, at least they sell it like that, and it sounds very good too. They even cater to different CMS like WordPress, Magento and Drupal.

Hi Gwyneth, I am not really a fan of Cloudways or any Managed Cloud Hosting companies since I have seen one too many of them mismanaged – security was bad etc.
