Gary V, Gary Vaynerchuck, the guy from Impact Theory, Ed Mylett, Grant Cardone, Dan Lok, Tony Robbins, David Goggins, etc. etc.

Do you know any of these guys? Maybe all of them?

The trap of motivation-porn or 'edutainment' is real. You have a drive, a desire to do better than the average - financially, career-wise, in sports or games or in some kind of competitive manner. You spend hours and hours on YouTube going through one recommendation after another and it feels great. It's not regular TV, it's not really killing time - you're actually learning and getting better.

And that is the actual trap. You do learn, you do get better but there is a very low ceiling or cap as to how much value you can extract out of this type of content.

I'm actually talking about my own self and my experience with motivation-porn. I've no doubt spent a few hundred hours watching this stuff, maybe over a thousand and have spent a few hundred dollars buying courses or maybe more than a thousand dollars - never to really go through it.

My latest purchase is the MasterClass. They seemed different. And it is different - it's super high quality, well-produced content worthy of someone's hard-earned dollars however, the same trap still applies if we don't act on the message.

In the end, everyone is just saying the same thing over and over again.

Just fucking do it.
