SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) is definitely the business model of the future. What is SaaS? Usually SaaS is a digital product, or an app which requires a monthly subscription to use.
Here’s a few examples that you might be familiar with:
- G Suite (from Google)
- Google Drive
I think you should get the point. These SaaS platforms / apps would have cost millions to develop but also bring in multi-millions each year or month.
At a smaller scale, the advantages of a SaaS startup is clear. Low overheads because you probably don’t need to pay rent if your whole team is fully distributed but I won’t go to deep into that here.
If you’re looking for consulting, development or maintenance help on your SaaS project, do give me a yell. I’m a full stack developer that’s had a chance to work on a great variety of projects from startups to government and enterprise. I’m based in Melbourne.
